This is a film about author’s sister Mia, born with Down syndrome. During nine years of filming, Eva recorded Mia’s dreams, desires, thoughts on life, love and the things that make her happy. Mia’s imagination, humor and ability to find joy in the little things teaches us how to embrace life gratefully. Eva was trying to make a film about her sister Mia for years – she was questioning their relationship and the shame she felt because of her, because of what she couldn’t accept herself, her and their family. Along the way, the frustration has gone – what remained is the film of Mia, her energy, joy of life and their love.
